Coaching approach as a new leadership narrative for the 21st Century 03 Aug , 08:00 PM Singapore Register Now
Big Idea: Leading emergent change in a complex world requires us to create a new narrative and mindset about being a leader.
The emphasis on being a strategic, forward-thinking leader who can envision viable futures and the path to those futures does little to prepare today’s leaders for the complex, ever-changing challenges.
Successful leadership will require a paradigm shift in organizing and leading away from the prevailing “performance mindset” that emphasizes measurable goal setting and achievement. It assumes that organizations are stable entities and presumes that data and analysis can solve problems.
Instead, leaders need to be able to hold the space of complexity and uncertainty in ways that encourage and enable generative and transformational change.
