As we move further into the digital age, the impact of AI can be seen in various areas of human life, including the growing profession of coaching. Many argue that AI has limitations, especially regarding human intelligence and emotions. This raises doubts about AI's ability to compete with a human coach. Are you sure about this?
Recent studies on the application of AI in mental health care have suggested that AI could effectively promote human well-being. This improved ability of AI and its increased use in the helping professions challenges us to reassess the distinctive quality of our coaching conversations.
For the foreseeable future, AI will remain unconscious machines that can, at best, support humans in complex, specific tasks. So, this webinar invites us to a thoughtful dialogue to
(1) examine the essence of a coaching conversation as a human story unfolding to reveal where positive change needs to be and
(2) Advocate an urgent need to employ a more science-based approach to create personal change.
The agenda for the presentation is as follows:
1. Review two case studies showcasing AI's successful use in mental health intervention.
2. Examine the AI-human interaction in a coaching context.
3. Review a comparative study of a coaching conversation between an AI coach and a human coach.
4. Map out potential future directions for professional coaching.
This webinar will NOT be recorded. You must attend the live session to enjoy the learning.
